Segenhoe “walked out” 177 mares during the 2006 season, of which 166 returned positive pregnancy tests – a fertility rate 94%. We retain the services of Dr Rowan Sedgwick, who is one of the leading reproductive vets in Australia and lives close to the stud.

Segenhoe Stud is a specialized broodmare farm which was purpose built from the ground up in 1998, on virgin horse land. The stud enjoys 5kms of frontage to the Hunter River, ample irrigation and a wide range of natural and improved pastures.

Segenhoe Stud is less than 3kms from many of Australia’s leading stallion stations including Arrowfield, Darley and Vinery.

We do not stand any stallions. Thus, agistment at Segehoe does not carry any obligations to support a particular stallion.
